  • Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)

Job Description:

An EMT is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under the supervision of on or off-line medical control. And provide patients with safe and efficient transportation to and from their medical appointments, health and wellness events, etc. Also, for the safety and maintenance upkeep of the company owned vehicles. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the Medical Director, EMS Director, and Director of Operations. Conduct role in a professional, caring and compassionate manner ensuring a high level of customer and patient care is provided at all times and maintaining strict patient confidentiality. Earn and maintain appropriate certifications.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education & Skills Required:

• *High School Diploma or equivalent.

• *Current BLS certification.

• *Current SC EMT certification and/or National Registry EMT certification.

• *Current state driver's license and excellent driving record.

• *Due to insurance regulations, must be 21 years of age.

 

Physical Requirements: *

Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, push, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee will push stretcher, put it into place on the ambulance, secure the stretcher appropriately all with assistance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 250 pounds on average with assistance.

  • Driver/Unit Operator

  • *MUST HAVE SC NUMBER & Registered in Image Trend thru SCDHEC EMS.

  • *MUST BE 21 or older, MUST have EVOC, CEVO4, or EVDT certification.

Job Description:

An Ambulance Driver is responsible for providing patients with safe and efficient transportation to and from their medical appointments, health and wellness events, etc. Also, for the safety and maintenance upkeep of the company owned vehicles. Accompany and assist emergency medical technicians on calls. Help place patients on stretchers and lift and load them into ambulance, with assistance from other attendants. Remove and replace soiled linens or equipment to maintain sanitary conditions. Replace supplies and disposable items on ambulances. Be accountable for basic vehicle maintenance in accordance with the vehicle check procedure dictated by the vehicle check sheet. Conduct role in a professional, caring and compassionate manner ensuring a high level of customer and patient care is provided at all times and maintaining strict patient confidentiality. Earn and maintain appropriate certifications.

 

Qualifications:

Education & Skills Required:

  • *High School Diploma or equivalent
  • *CPR/First Responder Certification

  • *Excellent driving skills
  • *CEVO, EVOC, or EVDT training
  • *Excellent customer service skills

 

Work Background/Experience:

  • Experience working with the public
  • *Two (2) years previous driving experience   to include transporting passengers       preferred
  • *Good driving record (Must present 10-   year driving record)
  • *Must be 21 years of age (Due to insurance   reasons)
